The Musical Stage Play has been created to make a difference in someone’s life by raising awareness in some kind of way. Author Marquita Coleman believe this is the way to go. Her book "Redemption: The Taste of a Woman's Rage" may be about what goes on in the prison system between correctional officers and inmates, but, in reality their tainted relationship can be a lesson learned for those that have no knowledge of what may come from deceit and bondage. Author Marquita Coleman’s play will give the knowledge of deceit and bondage that causes the rise in awareness of HIV/Aids, gun violence, suicide, domestic violence, and domestic woman's abuse. That is why it is important for sponsors to step in and invest in the reality of the message that is being presented. Also, she would like to add and schedule traveling, taking her musical stage play on the road and touring cities around the world.

Author Marquita Coleman’s goal is to raise awareness for HIV/Aids, suicide, gun violence, domestic violence, and domestic woman's abuse. She chose these causes to support because most people suffer and endure these types of causes not knowing they have a support system. She want them to know they are not alone, and that people like her are here for them. She has a calling for being a great listener to where others call her to vent just because they need someone to talk to. She have experienced domestic violence and domestic woman's abuse, so she can relate and give great advice to those in need. Author Marquita Coleman have experienced the want of committing suicide, she never succeeded because God has other plans for her. She would like for people to know, there is a big world out there, and people like her are here to embrace those in need with an open heart and arms.

Recent released “Redemption: The Taste of a Woman’s Rage” from Page Publishing author Marquita Coleman writes a fictional poignant tale of one woman’s vulnerability, a devastating betrayal, and an unquenchable thirst for vengeance. Marquita Coleman, a former correctional officer and mother of one, has published her a gripping and potent short story probing the limits of human forgiveness as a correctional officer suffers unthinkable treachery at the hands of an inmate. “Redemption: The Taste of a Woman’s Rage” is based on known life events. It is about a young woman named April who was naive to the rules and regulations as a correctional officer. She was targeted by a very charming inmate named Nathaniel. Nathaniel is the type to lure young vulnerable women who are very self-conscious about themselves. She goes through a breakup with her boyfriend, becoming weak-minded and vulnerable. April eventually falls in love with Nathaniel and they end up becoming sexual with each other. Unbeknownst to April, Nathaniel has something up his sleeve. It will be a task that will be impossible for her to avoid or get out of. She eventually finds out what he really wants and falls to the level of an inmate. After falling in love with Nathaniel, all hell breaks loose, and she becomes fed up with his antics. She tries to get out the bondage he had her in, but she was not able to because he wouldn’t let her. She then finds out that Nathaniel has another lover. By the end of it all, April becomes full of rage with the intent to seek revenge. She sought redemption, and it all tasted so good.
